Jeff McAuley is the Sr. Manager of Strategic Partnerships at EnerNOC, where he is developing a partner ecosystem to expand the company’s enterprise energy intelligence software suite. Jeff has led the strategy for EnerNOC's distributed generation efforts including developing partnerships with SunPower and Tesla. Prior to EnerNOC, Jeff was the founding TechBridge Program Manager at Fraunhofer CSE, an applied R&D organization focusing on photovoltaic modules, building energy efficiency and electric grid control systems. Jeff has an interdisciplinary engineering background, having also worked on medical devices at Boston Scientific and catalytic fuel reformation at Nuvera Fuel Cells.

Name: Ben Sampson

Company:  GE Ventures

Ben Sampson is currently an Associate in GE Ventures where he focuses on investments and collaborations with emerging and innovative energy technology companies. Ben’s investment focus has been in distributed generation, energy storage, energy efficiency, & grid optimization. Prior to joining GE Ventures, Ben was a project manager at Mechanology, Inc. where he led a team of engineers developing novel positive displacement compressor and expander technologies. Ben holds a Masters of Engineering Management and Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from The Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College

Name: Dana Guernsey

Title: Director of Corporate Development

Company: Ambri

Dana is the Director of Corporate Development at Ambri, a start-up battery manufacturer based in Cambridge, MA that is commercializing the liquid metal battery technology invented at MIT. Ambri's batteries will be used for large-scale energy storage, with benefits ranging from reducing the need for new power plants and power lines to making it easier to manage wind and solar resources. Previously, Dana was the Director of Energy Markets at EnerNOC,  a leading provider of demand response and energy intelligence software. There she led a team responsible for optimizing the company's demand response portfolio in 40+ programs. Dana holds a Master of Engineering Management and Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering, and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. 

 

Name: Mackay Miller

Title: Lead Analyst

Company: National Grid

Mackay Miller leads the Battery Storage working group at National Grid. Previously, he was Senior Research Analyst at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, USA, where he managed international collaborations with China, Mexico, India, and South Africa. He coordinated several bilateral and multilateral initiatives including the US-China Renewable Energy Partnership and 21st Century Power Partnership. He also led NREL support for the International Smart Grid Action Network and coordinates the Clean Energy Regulators Initiative. His recent publications include “Flexibility in 21st Century Power Systems,” “Market Evolution: Wholesale Electricity Market Design for 21st Century Power Systems” and “RES-E-NEXT: Next Generation RES-E Policy.” He holds an MBA from the University of Colorado, and a BA in International Relations from Brown University.

 

Name: Mike Jackson

Title: Director of Market Development

Company: Advanced Microgrid Solutions

Mike Jackson is Director of Market Development for Advanced Microgrid Solutions, an energy services company and developer of behind-the-meter energy storage systems, where he focuses on developing AMS’ presence in the Northeast and ERCOT. Prior to AMS, Mike worked at FirstFuel, a rapid building assessment SaaS platform for regulated utilities, retail energy marketers, and ESCOs active in markets with large commercial building segments. Mike has worked for numerous companies in the energy space including, EnerNOC, Hara, and Digital Lumens. Mike holds a BA in Geology from Dartmouth College.
