Matthias has been a member of the KAYAK team for the past four years and currently serves as the company's Chief Scientist. In this role, he leads KAYAK's use and exploration of artificial intelligence along with new user interfaces such as voice-enabled devices and chat bots. In 2016, Matthias led and launched successful integrations for KAYAK with Amazon Alexa, Facebook Messenger and Slack, which propelled the company into the spotlight as a category leader in AI and natural language processing.  Prior to focusing on conversational travel and natural language processing, Matthias served as an analytics engineer, and later as a security architect at KAYAK. He holds a degree in Computer Science from TU M√ľnchen, an Honours Degree in Technology Management from the CDTM, and a PhD from ETH Zurich. 


Rob May is the CEO and Co-founder of Talla, a platform powered by artificial intelligence which deploys intelligent assistants for IT and HR. He is the author of Inside AI, the most popular AI newsletter online, and an active angel investor in the AI space. Previously, Rob was the CEO and Co-founder of Backupify (acquired by Datto in 2014). Before that, he held engineering, business development and management positions at various startups. Rob has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Kentucky.

Julia is a Senior Lecturer in the Entrepreneurial Management Unit at the Harvard Business School. She teaches Product Management 101 and Product Management 102 in the second-year MBA program.

Julia is also the CTO at DigitalOcean, Inc - a cloud hosting provider. She is a board member, advisor and angel investor to several startups and is often called upon as a leadership coach with a focus on the engineering process, staffing and functional operations.

Prior to DigitalOcean, Julia was the VP of Innovation and the Cambridge Site Director for VMware, Inc. Prior to VMware, Julia was the Vice President of Engineering at Akamai Technologies and has held technical management and consulting positions at several other startups and mature companies. She also serves as a Trustee for the Becket Chimney Corners YMCA and is an active volunteer for both BUILD and Year Up in Boston. Julia received her BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a graduate of Boston University's School of Business where she received her Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems.
